Record Integrity

Fiscal-grade integrity at the database layer

Sales-record invariants are enforced by Postgres CHECK constraints and triggers — not by application code that could have bugs. Receipts are provisional records; official receipts remain your BIR-registered process.

Sequential receipt numbers

Receipts allocated per-branch with database row-locks — no gaps even under 60 concurrent transactions.

Immutable Z-Readings

Z-Reading rows are blocked from UPDATE/DELETE by a database trigger. Once the day closes, it stays closed.

Monotonic Grand Total

Grand Total Accumulator only increases. Voids reverse stock but never decrease the accumulator — BIR requirement.

Accountable voids

Voids are soft — the sale row is kept with the void reason and operator, the receipt number is never reused, and stock reversal is exact.

FAQ

Questions operators ask before signing.

Is Quesina PH BIR-accredited?: No — Quesina PH is not a BIR-accredited POS, and printed receipts are provisional records clearly marked as such (they are not official receipts). You issue official receipts through your existing BIR-registered means. What the platform does enforce is fiscal-grade record integrity: sequential per-branch receipt numbers, immutable Z-Readings, and a monotonically increasing Grand Total Accumulator, all guarded at the database layer.
What happens when the internet goes down?: The branch mobile app queues operations locally (expo-sqlite). Cashiers keep selling and customers get provisional receipts. When the network returns, the SyncFacade batches the queue and the server assigns the sequential receipt number. Each op has a client-side UUID so duplicate sends are safe.
How long does onboarding take?: A single-branch Starter is typically operating within 5 business days from contract: data import (1–2 days), staff training (1 day), BIR paperwork (parallel), go-live with one-on-one support (1 day). Franchise deployments scale with branch count.
Can it run on the hardware I already have?: Yes if the tablets are Android 10+ or iPad iOS 15+, and your printer is ESC/POS compatible (most thermal receipt printers are). We provide a compatibility check during the setup engagement and recommend hardware add-ons if needed.
How do royalty statements work?: FMS computes royalties monthly per branch as a percentage of net sales, with a per-branch rate. Statements are auto-generated on the 1st, reviewed and finalized at HQ, and payments are recorded against them. Voided sales are excluded from the royalty base.
Does ETAS handle payroll?: ETAS is a time-and-attendance system: photo-verified clock in/out, schedules, late detection, overtime authorization, and leave approvals, with CSV attendance exports your payroll provider or accountant can consume. Payroll computation itself (premiums, deductions, government remittances) is not part of the platform today.
Can we white-label the customer receipt and the franchisee dashboard?: On the Franchise tier, yes — logo, brand colors, and receipt header/footer text are customizable per tenant.
What if we outgrow the platform?: We export your entire data set on request: transactions, recipes, employees, royalties — in CSV and JSON. There is no lock-in. Most operators do not leave; the BIR + offline + multi-tenant combination is unusual in PH.
